Happy fall, y’all! π
I hope you’re hungry, because today we’re making a super yummy side dish – perfect for your next holiday party! Although let’s be real, this is a staple all year round for us.
This dish takes everything you love about green bean casserole – green beans, mushrooms, and onions – and turns it into delicious AND healthy veggie side that won’t leave you falling asleep after your meal. It’s a win-win!
Let’s make some green beans & mushrooms, shall we? π
Bring about 3-4 cups of water to a boil, salt the water (optional), then add your green beans. Bring it back up to a boil, cover, and cook for about 5 minutes. Be sure not to overcook! Drain into a colander.
This is when your kitchen starts smelling realllll good π You’ll know it’s done when the onions start looking translucent and the mushrooms are starting to brown.
You’re almost done! Season with your heart and mix together well. If it starts looking too thick, you can thin it out with a little butter, olive oil, or broth.Β
Enjoy it while it’s hot!Β
Which holiday dishes do YOU wish you could healthify? Let us know and we’ll try to make them!

After I originally commented I clicked the -Notify me when new feedback are added- checkbox and now each time a remark is added I get four emails with the same comment. Is there any approach you’ll be able to remove me from that service? Thanks!
