Where are our Trader Joe’s girlies?! ππΌββοΈ Let’s be real… this might as well be a Trader Joe’s fangirl page at this point lol.
There’s just something so therapeutic about walking up and down those aisles! The only downfall is that you usually have to go to another grocery store afterward to get everything else you need.Β
That’s why we made this recipe! A full comfort meal where you can get EVERYTHING at Trader Joe’s. Let’s get to it!

We love our Lodge Dutch Oven, but anything similar will work great too!
To drain the fat from the ground beef, fold up a paper towel and hold it with tongs. Put the paper towel into the pot to absorb the juices. It may take a couple of paper towels, but it’s the easiest way we’ve found to get that extra fat out!
If you got the sausage in the casing, be sure to remove the before you add it to the pot. If you got ground sausage, you’re good to go! Also, if you’re not a fan of spice feel free to use regular Italian sausage. They’ll both add great flavor to your chili!
This is when you’re food is going to start looking gooood π We recommend putting all of your seasonings in a small bowl before you start cooking just to make it easier on yourself. That way you’re not frantically trying to find each little bottle when things are on the stove! Trust us, it just makes your life so much easier.
We love to make homemade broth, but of course Trader Joes has great broth as well!
These flavors need some time to marry and really come together. Be sure to taste it when you stir it so you know when it’s ready. And, well, it’s delicious so why not taste it whenever you can lol π
Store in an airtight container in the fridge/freezer, or serve immediately. Top with cheddar cheese, green onion, and corn chips (optional), and enjoy!
